UKPK Scales (Composite Materials)

A set of replacement scales to fit the Spyderco UKPK ( 3 Pin 1/2 spring and 4 Pin Full Spring Versions ) in 3mm & 5mm Carbon Fibre or Micarta.

Cnc cut & hand finished to achieve a perfect fit and feel,

Available Materials :-

Standard scales are made from 3k 2x2 Twill, for 6K 3x1 twill or the 3k 2x2 coloured hybrids like Micarta please add your preference to the special instructions section

Micarta Scales can be produced in a wide variety of materials and colours including :- Denim Micarta in various colours, Linen Micarta in various colours, Canvas Micarta in various colours, Jute/Burlap Micarta in various colours, as our Micarta is made in house there are too many combinations and colours to list so it is best to ask if you are not sure what you want, but here are a few photos of recent work,

If you would like to supply your own material to make the Scales (eg ;- G10 or Micarta) them please select "Free Issue Material" and a price reduction will be applied, Then please send in your material with a note referencing the order number,

CnC cut Patterns :-

Carbon Fibre and Micarta Scales can be Cnc cut with the following patterns :-

Fluted Large or Fluted Small, Frag Large or Frag Small

Other patterns can also be cut on request.

Available finishes :-

• Matt finish :- (edges de-burred and ground with the surface dressed to 1000 grit to achieve a fine matt finish, ).
• Polished stage 1 :- (edges de-burred and ground with surface wet sanded to 2000 grit then 1st stage polished via a rotary mopping wheel to remove all but the lightest scratches and blemishes, may require further hand polishing for perfect finish before installation).
• A 2k Clear coat gloss finish can be applied to achieve a higher Gloss level and for greater durability,
• Side profile finish selectable from Flat grind, 1mm Chamfered or 2mm Round over,

• V2 Ergo Scales do not need a side profile finish as this is included in the design so leave it as flat grind,

All UKPK Scale sets use existing hardware and are supplied with 2x 0.2mm phosphor bronze washers,

The 3 pin variant is supplied with a Concentric Cam for spring adjustment and also Includes a matching round spacer for the Bottom (clip screw),

A fill in bottom spacer and Liners as below can also be supplied in various forms and can be found on the accessories page.

The screw holes are D shaped to take the D shaped barrel pins and are supplied with Phosphor bronze washers but can also be supplied with Thrust Bearings,

Will be supplied with Belt clip pocket on both sides(as std) or without (Via the options panel), there is also an option for single sided left or right.
